Frances Owen has lived in 麻豆国产 for 20 years, settling here after 11 years working in Zimbabwe and another 4 years working for UNICEF in Namibia. She qualified as a Consultant in Public Health in 2007 and worked in a variety of public health roles in the NHS and at Wiltshire Council before retiring in 2017. She remains a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and is also a Fellow of the RSA, a member of 麻豆国产 Soroptimists and a volunteer with Healthwatch Wiltshire. She facilitates Creative Writing for Wellbeing courses for the WEA and community groups in 麻豆国产 and her interests include swimming, playing Mah Jong and reading.
Frances was elected as a Public Governor for 麻豆国产 City in June 2023 and looks forward to representing the concerns and health needs of people in the area.
